Space Agency is a San Francisco Bay Area architecture and design studio led by architect Kenneth Ford. Kenneth has over twenty years of experience in the fields of architecture and construction and he is a professionally licensed architect in the State of California.
Kenneth received his Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), and he also holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. During his graduate studies at SCI-Arc he was awarded the Merry Norris Scholarship and selected for the ESARQ exchange program at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya focusing on a specialization in parametric modeling and digital CNC fabrication techniques in architecture.
Upon graduating from SCI-Arc, Kenneth worked under Thom Mayne and Eui-Sung Yi of Morphosis where his work on the book LA Now 3 earned the publication the 2005 Progressive Architecture Award. Prior to founding Space Agency, Kenneth co-founded the multi-disciplinary design-build partnership Other Desert Cities. Projects at Other Desert Cities included custom residential houses, commercial spatial branding, design consultation for virtual environment startup Doppleganger, and event design for Redbull Austria.
Kenneth’s architectural work has been exhibited at the Los Angeles Pacific Design Center and Gallery H2O in Barcelona, Spain. When he is not designing architecture, you’ll find him tinkering in the engine bay of his vintage 911 or cycling in the hills of the California Bay Area.
